Earlier this year, an opinion was released by ACOG (American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists) and AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) touting that waterbirth was an “experimental practice” and referenced some poorly designed studies on waterbirth safety.

We’re happy that Rebecca Decker, PhD, RN published a response to those opinions that includes SOLID scientific studies about waterbirth.  Rebecca’s blog, Evidence Based Birth, is a fabulous, ativan lorazepam well-respected look at various issues in the childbearing year. Her entry entitled “The Evidence of Waterbirth” is a great read for those that are interested in research from over a decade of widespread use of water immersion for labor and birth.
