directions to portland birth center

 
From West of Portland:
  1. Take Hwy 26 into town, be in the right lane as you go through the tunnel into the city
  2. Take the first exit, which says something about the Ross Island Bridge
  3. Go straight until the lanes become 4 lanes, then get in either of the 2 right lanes, which will put you onto Barbur Blvd
  4. From Barbur, take a left on Whitaker St (this is right after where Cedarwood school is, if you are familiar with that)
  5. Left on 1st Ave
  6. Right on Gibbs
  7. Gibbs will force you to turn right again, then you are there - 3323 SW Naito Parkway. Our birth center is a brick and white colonial building on the right.
From North of Portland:
You can follow the directions above from #2 on 405 South, or from #2 below on I-5 South.
From East of Portland:
  1. Take 84, be in left lane when it ends
  2. Take I-5 south to 405 (towards Beaverton)
  3. Exit at 6th Ave
  4. Right on Harrison
  5. Right on 1st Ave
  6. Go THROUGH the light at Arthur St
  7. Stay to the RIGHT when the street splits
  8. Take a left on Gibbs
  9. Gibbs will force you to turn to the right, then you are there - 3323 SW Naito Parkway. Our birth center is a brick and white colonial building on the right
From South of Portland:
  1. Take I-5 North to the Corbett St exit
  2. Go left on Corbett
  3. Left at Hamilton (first stop sign)
  4. Right on Barbur Blvd
  5. The road will become 4 lanes, then split - the 2 on the right go to Naito, do NOT go there - stay to the LEFT of the split (Barbur Blvd), but be in the right lane, and go slow so you don't miss the next turn
  6. Take a right on Whitaker
  7. Left on 1st Ave
  8. Right on Gibbs
  9. Gibbs will force you to turn right again, then you are there - 3323 SW Naito Parkway. Our birth center is a brick and white colonial building on the right
From SW Portland/Ross Island Bridge:
  1. Go west across the bridge
  2. Be in the LEFT lane by the end of the bridge
  3. When you are halfway through the tunnel, start going 20 mph
  4. Ignore the people flashing their brights behind you and honking their horn (if you are feeling kind and communicative, put on your right turn signal)
  5. After the tunnel, "dive" through the break in the "curb" onto the street that runs parellel to the one you are on
  6. Either put your car in reverse for 20ft, or go around the block, you're there - 3323 SW Naito Parkway. Our birth center is a brick and white colonial building on the right
