Kristen has a true passion for providing care to women and children,
especially pregnant women and their babies. She obtained her Bachelor
of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Linfield College in 1995 and her
Masters of Science( MS) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Oregon
Health Sciences University in 2000.
Kristen's goal is to provide each of her patients with wellness care
in an individualized, collaborative, and supportive environment. This
goal will fulfill her desire to assist families in staying healthy
utilizing traditional western medicine as well as a full spectrum
of alternative practices.
Kristen provides the following services through Andaluz Waterbirth
Center:
• well woman care including pap smears and mamogram referrals
• a wide range of family planning services including IUD placement
• well baby and well child care
• acute illness and injury care
In Kristen's spare time she loves writing, gardening, cooking, dancing,
singing, yoga and is an avid reader. She welcomes any "good book"
recommendations! Her children, Tahnna (6) and Samuel (3) are the center
of her universe and she loves helping them explore this big world.
Kristen became familiar with the Andaluz midwifery team and their
supportive philosophy of caring during her first pregnancy and received
her prenatal care from Andaluz with her second pregnancy. Her son,
Sam, was born in the Angel room tub at the Tualatin Birth Center----a
long held dream come true!
Kristen believes in and supports Andaluz and the wonderful, gentle,
individualized care they provide to their clients and she is excited
to be a part of their team.
