Our clients and their partners are encouraged to attend childbirth education class and breastfeeding class. Classes are taught at the birth center.

Classes cover prenatal exercises, nutrition, the birth process, learning and practicing birth and labor positions, labor support techniques for the partner to learn, relaxation and breathing, exploring your beliefs about birth, facing your fears, affirmations, vocalizations, visualization, unity of the couple, watching births on video, babycare and breastfeeding.

Other Andaluz activities include baby play groups and potluck's. We have a yahoo group for Andaluz clients. Request to join by emailing jennifer@waterbirth.net. Many family play groups and "ladies night out" are scheduled by the families on this group, as well as dinner trains for mommas who have just given birth. This is a great online group and resource!

	Class is $60 per family. Registration required. Come make friends, learn, watch birth videos and hear moms and dads share their birth story. Bring a snack to share! Contact our teacher tracydoula@yahoo.com to register. We have information on Bradley classes and can refer to other classes - just ask.
	Play Group
	Where: When:	Jennifer's home in Dundee The second Wed of each month from 12 - 3pm
	Come to Jennifer's farm and visit with other moms & dads while the kids play. Bring a dish or snack to share. Next play date: December 13th, 2006. Jennifer will make hot chocolate, home made cinnamon rolls, and raw apple pie. Other ocassional play dates are scheduled as well at the park, the zoo, the children's museum, etc. Contact Jennifer Gallardo about locations and changes in scheduling at jennifer@waterbirth.net.
	Breastfeeding Class
	Where: When:	Andaluz Waterbirth Center TBA
	Class fee is $10 per family. Register by emailing Jennifer at jennifer@waterbirth.net. Come and learn all about what to expect in this whole new world called breastfeeding. Husbands and/or partners are encouraged to come as you will be mama's biggest supporter! Success is all about support, so come build your knowledge and your network of support.
	Andaluz Potlucks
