When we came to Andaluz during my 39th week of pregnancy and with my hospital IV line still in place, we were desperate. When we arrived at Andaluz that day, Mat and I both slapped our foreheads and asked each other, "Why didn't we come here in the first place?" Your facility was warm, inviting, and provided a calm, natural atmosphere in which to share the most amazing experience of our lives, the birth of our first child....The compassion, knowledge and support we were given by your staff has left a lasting mark on our lives and will forever be a key part of Leif's birth story. We wanted to take the time to thank you and all of your hard-working staff for providing a place where families can be birthed without the fear so prevalent in today's medical establishment. The world needs more places like Andaluz. Places where women can trust their bodies and let their bodies do exactly what they are made so beautifully to do. When Leif is older, he will know all about your staff and what they did for him. And when we are ready for Leif's next sibling to join us, we will make Andaluz our first stop.

I just wanted to send you a little note with a huge thank you! I just can't tell you in words all that I feel about Craig and Ericka and Noah, the birth and just everything but I wanted to try to express my gratitude to you for the major part you played in this miracle.
When they first told me about their intent to go with a midwife and waterbirth, I felt so fearful because I knew very little about both. After all, I did come from the 'old school' where everything was orchestrated by the medical profession and the participants had little or no say so. I did know Ericka and Craig well enough to know they are so responsible in their decisions and something this important would not be entered into lightly......
I am so confident in you after watching you with them, through the labor and birth, seeing your wisdom and knowledge time after time finding solutions and getting past the rough spots. And even more so after seeing the size of their beautiful 10 pound baby boy! I just can't brag enough, to enough people how awesome you all were, how awesome the birth was, done the way it was, the options available to assure comfort and success and how cared for Craig and Ericka were...
I just want to thank you, though these words seem so trivial compared to what I feel...........I pray rich blessings on what you do, that God will bring people to you who need exactly what you give and that they will be blessed. I look forward to seeing you again and under the same circumstances!!!
